Hey Tumblr Friends,

 I feel as if i have been ignoring tumblr for nearly 6 months- having it linked to my instagram is a help! we have been moving house not stop for the past year- dont ever live with friends! we are out on our own but have been robbed and dont feel as if our so called ‘luxury apartment’ is as secure as once advertised, so we have decided to make the move to the seaside near the gold coast so that i can finally open my own little studio shop within our house-where you can come visit and see where all MLR stuff is made, all the furniture will be on display.

 I hope you all had an amazing 2011, mine was full of lots of highs and lows, as you know i went through some difficult health problems but i have managed to stay fairly healthy for the past few months by not eating sugar,and diary. I had 3 friend break ups, 2 because living with people you see what they are really like and the other im really not sure..we just parted ways as our interests changed.

Best decision of 2011 was stopping doing hair and makeup as a profession, my goodness, i have never had such a sigh of relief when all my friends and family said ‘this job is making you so negative’ - being around vanity, photographers and rude people constantly in the industry just brought me down so fast, that when i stopped it and announced it to everyone i felt like a huge weight that was weighing me down for nearly a year was just lifted in an instant.

I start studying interior design in late February- i cannot wait. Since doing furniture and homewares the past 4 months it has opened a whole new passion for me. I truly love it- being outside in the sun, getting fit! i felt being a makeup artist made me so lazy- sore backs, toxic makeup,toxic people- never again!! yipeee!! :)

Les and i bought a huge van! so we can be like the american pickers haha! we travel around the country side finding lots of treasures and spending quality time together. something we lost when doing pin up shoots.

 I occassionally model, for photographers i admire, or publications i want to be involved with- but i feel working with every photographer and booking yourself out nearly every weekend just exhausts you- no creativity- and limits your new fresh ideas.

Im going to leave you with this last note.

If the only thing you have to talk about whilst making new friends is bitching about someone else to try and find something in common with them so its a conversation starter. Stay at home. its a path of destruction.
